The Service Auction is a unique service that allows you as a contractor the ability to bid on jobs that are appealing to you. Here you can see in advance the maximum budget for the homeowner’s project, as well as the explicit details and photos of the project at hand (ie., measurements, obstacles, specific instructions). As a prospective contractor, you have the capability of bidding on the amount of salary that you are willing to accept for the completion of the posted job. If you think a max budget for a specific job is under priced, simply move on to the next posting. If you think the max budget for the job is over priced, well that’s OPPORTUNITY! Now you can start bidding on that project until you have reached the lowest price that you are comfortable doing the job for.

Unlike a traditional auction, here, the lowest bid wins the auction. The winner ’s information and resume is then viewable to the homeowner, who will have the ability to contact the individual/company that won, check their listed references, as well as look up the company’s Better Business Bureau standings, in order to determine whether this individual or company is acceptable to them. Once a winner is deemed reliable by the employer, the job is award, and work begins!
NOTE: If the employer is dissatisfied with the winner of the auction for any reason, they can then view the resume of the next highest bidder, and so on and so forth until a desirable contractor is found.
